Armine Melkonyan is the Chief Executive Officer of "SIL INSURANCE" Insurance Closed Joint-Stock Company, a member of the SIL Capital group. She is responsible for executing the Company’s strategic goals, ensuring the fulfillment of key financial indicators outlined in the business plan, and managing day-to-day operations and other executive functions under the Company’s charter.

Professional Experience & Career
Ms. Melkonyan brings extensive, long-term expertise in the financial and insurance sectors:

Central Bank of Armenia (approx. 9 years): Began her professional career within the CBA staff and subsequently advanced to the Supervision Department, serving as an insurance company supervisor.

Career at "SIL INSURANCE": Joined the team in September 2017 as the Deputy Chair of the Board, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in November of the same year.

Academic Engagement: For the past 5 years, she has also been lecturing at the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, sharing her practical industry insights with future professionals.

Education & Qualifications
Higher Education: Holds a Master’s degree in Economics, specializing in Insurance, from the Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE).

Postgraduate Studies: Pursued postgraduate research (PhD program) at the Faculty of Management of the Russian-Armenian University.

Executive Education: In 2025, she admitted to the prestigious Executive MBA (EMBA) program for senior leaders at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

Professional Certification: Successfully passed the international Chartered Insurance Institute exams, earning the CII Level 3 Certificate in Insurance.

Ms. Melkonyan regularly participates in prominent international conferences and forums, including those organized by the Financial Stability Institute (FSI), the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), and the European Central Bank (ECB), continuously bringing global best practices in governance and insurance to the company.
